Why desire paths
I’ve always been drawn to desire paths, where people find their own way through a space. It feels close to how I think about product design: understand how people naturally move, then shape the path without taking away their sense of agency.
Santa Cruz and Iceland are two places I find especially beautiful, similar in their openness but strikingly different in character.
Huy Ngois a designer and prototyper working on AI and voice, happiest between a new idea, a working prototype, and too many open tabs.
He likes experimenting with new technology, then figuring out how to turn it into something intuitive, useful, and occasionally delightful.
Currently shaping SAP’s Fiori design system and multimodal experiences for Joule Work.

A two-week unsolicited redesign to make podcasts on Spotify easier to find, filter, and keep up with. Spotify later shipped a search filter much like mine, which was a nice surprise.
